Gameweek 9 - Waiver Wire Fantasy Fantasy EPL Draft Sleepers

Jack Harrison, M - Everton

Jack Harrison - Everton
Jack Harrison - Everton

In Gameweek 8's recap we heaped praise on Jack Harrison, the new Everton man who made his first start for the Toffees on the weekend. Not only did he look to be fit after recovering from injury, but he looked very solid scoring a stunning long-range strike as well as an assist tallied in just 77 minutes of action. Harrison has over 30 points in just above 120 minutes played this season, including an impressive 3 key passes, 2 goal contributions and 2 ACNCs (accurate crosses not corners), and 5 defensive stat points. Yes, he was playing relatively weak sides in Luton and Bournemouth, but his production speaks to the fact that Everton needed creative output, and Harrison is the guy who is delivering. If you need some additional firepower, don't be afraid to splash a low waiver or spend 2-5 FAAB for the American only rostered by 38% of managers in Fantrax.

Konstantinos Tsimikas, D - Liverpool

Konstantinos Tsimikas - Liverpool

Liverpool have had a strong start to the season, but Tsimikas can't seem to get a game in front of the ever-present Andy Robertson. However, Robertson picked up a shoulder injury on international duty giving Tsimikas a likely first premier league start of the campaign. He takes set pieces and has put in solid output shifts in his minutes for Liverpool's Europa League campaign, showing he has the promise of great attacking returns. Pick him up in your league before others do as he is only rostered by 3% of managers and Liverpool has a very favorable schedule in the next few gameweeks.

Murillo/Henry Toffolo, D - Nottingham Forest

Murillo - Nottingham Forest
Murillo - Nottingham Forest

This one is a two-fer. Some prefer Murillo here because of his flex positioning as a M/D, whereas Toffolo is singularly a Defensive option. Regardless, both have offered attacking threat in their limited minutes thus far. Toffolo provided an assist in GW7 off the bench in his first appearance and registered 9 ghost points in his clean sheet start last week in GW8. Murillo has dazzled in moments thus far, and while he passes the eye test his production output also offers promise with 2 SOTs in his last clean sheet start (and an ariel threat to boot). GW9 sees Nottingham Forest play Luton at home, which is the most favorable fixture in this season's campaign for Defenders. Look to pick one of these guys up if you need some defensive output in GW9.

Luis Sinisterra, M/F - Bournemouth

Luis Sinisterra has seen limited minutes thus far since joining the Cherries on loan from Leeds, but is in contention to be first-choice winger. He registered 12.5 points (3 Key Passes and 5 tackles) in just 60 minutes of action despite heavy defeats in the past two fixtures. Ghost point potential and starts are imminent as Bournemouth look to right the ship. Facing Wolves at home and away to Burnley gives the Clumbian a good foundation to plant his flag in the side with only 6% of managers rostered.

Harry Maguire, D - Manchester United

The ex-captain gets a lot of stick, but has seen his stock rise over the past few weeks. With a shortage of options at the back, United will likely start Maguire again in GW9 after he tallied an assist last week in a win against Brentford. Sheffield away isn't an easy fixture, but it does provide the 7% rostered England man an opportunity to build on his performances. While I wouldn't throw the boat in for him, if you need a Defender and Tsimikas and the Forest crew get snatched up quickly, he is an option.
